What's Your Two Hundred Year Plan?

The month of January was named in honour of Janus, the god of beginnings and transitions.

For me, January is one long Monday morning. All is fresh and possible and with that comes the pressure to be better, much better than before.

I have tried to set some goals for this year and beyond and even seeing them illegibly scribbled on paper is enough to induce a mild panic attack.

This video provides a pleasant alternative to the new year's resolution pressure and I'm quite tickled by the whole idea.

I have come to love coffee.

It has been a rocky relationship. The trouble started when people used to tell me that Ricoffy was coffee, yeah, and the earth is flat. 

Anyway, lucky for me I grew up drinking the fine stuff and now that I have shunned sugar, coffee makes me feel more like the unemployed struggling genius that I am (sad face). 

So when I came across this marriage of coffee and chocolate at Woolies I couldn't resist. Purists of either be damned, this is a happy marriage.

This is problematic for me as I feel deeply uncomfortable (see: jealous) when someone is younger than me and doing big things.

Dudley is a half-Irish former Olympic boxing hopeful who happens to snog Rihanna and get paid for it.

I love the video for "We Found Love", it's so sexy and it's practically dripping in American Apparel. Also Agyness Deyn voices the opening lines. So basically, it's my kind of porn. 

P.S. Apparently, Dudley's guilty pleasure is World of Warcraft.

Janet Jackson was such a cutie-pie once upon a time.

The necktie! The pumps plus socks combo! The hair!  She looks like she just won a spelling bee and the winning word was "adorable".

I'll forever love Janet for her amazing music video for Got 'til it's Gone. After all these years it's still my favourite. Plus it features supermodel Alek Wek. What's not to love?
