It was my birthday on Friday. Presents still accepted!
We went for a picnic, a proper one, with cheese (not cheddar) and wine (the cork got stuck) and best of all I got a thick slice of that kind of happiness that makes my nose crinkle when I smile.
As it happens, I also got a thick slice of birthday cake that I baked for myself (you cannot leave these things to chance).
All things considered, it was a delicious day thanks to a delicious somebody affectionately known as Dennisto.
